Just thought I'd mention this for anyone with a old degree from EC looking to transfer credits toward another degree from EC...Loyalty pays off Big Time.
I received my AA from USNY Regents (now Excelsior) in 1991, and when I applied to EC earlier this month I found out that ALL of my AA credits would be accepted. This included ancient credits no longer accepted by EC - a computer course over 10 years old, and my 1985 Clep Composition with Essay. I was told that if you have an EC degree, your degree credits transfer as a block.
My only Boo-Hoo moment was finding out my SL Comp I and II are now duplicate credits. I can switch out the Clep Comp for SL, or have the SL listed under extra credits.
As an aside, ALL SL credits are only Pass/Fail, so it's a wash for me as far as grades are concerned...I'm thinking of using the SL credits as I worked so darn hard on those courses, I can't bear to see them relegated to "the basement"...:p
