For another combination of JD another professional preparation, "A professional with either an MD, DO, or DDS degree AND a JD degree, all degrees from accredited schools, and licensed to practice in either profession" is eligible to apply for Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine.
Yeah I think you can get away with JD + anything. I remember reading about firms that specialize in technology patents and it wasn't uncommon for many attorneys to have a JD with a PhD in the field they wanted to focus on. Maybe that can be extended to "any professional grad degree" + "any academic grad degree"?
