I noticed Introduction to Programming (CMP-111) was is on the unofficial list. Would this snag me a business elective? It seems like it might be an easy course.
I found all the courses easily doable, they are all open book. The majority of the assignments are online quizzes or a few short writing assignments.
Keep in mind I completed these four courses during one semester (12wks) while also taking two SL acctg courses, a TESC course and testing (3) exams.
My feedback on PF - listed in order of ease.
1) Business & Technical Writing (ENG216) could be completed in 2-3 days; non proctored final. You could call and ask advising if it could be used to fill a business elective. All written assignments were business correspondence. - If they do not agree, you could always request they approve and enter this course in the business/managerial communications slot as PL credit. The SL Business Comm course (if taken) would then drop to business electives.
2) Intermediate Accounting (ACC201) took me five days to complete; non proctored final.
3) Financial Management (FIN301) took three days, but then had to wait for the proctored final. Luckily this course is now non proctored.
4) Consumer Behavior (MAR351) can also be completed quickly; four days max. But must wait for the proctored final to be mailed.
But I have to ask, why not combine both tests and/or the TEEX courses to fill business electives? Options:
TEEX FREE Online cyber security Course Bundles @2cr (6cr)
Managers and Business Professionals (MAN-299)
Non-Technical / General User (CIS-299)
Technical / IT Professional (CIS-344)
DSST BUS101 Intro to Business
DSST BUS201 Principles of Supervision
TECEP CIS107 Computer Concepts & Applications
TECEP COM210 Public Relations & Thought Practice
