I didn't use an ebook for Intro to Religion, but I used one for Cultural Anthropology. Whatever you do, don't buy the ebook thru SL! Their ebooks are $80+.. that's way too expensive!
I got the Cultural Anthropology ebook for under 10 bucks! This is what I did... I bought a used textbook at Chegg for $4 (+ S/H) and Chegg included 7-day access to the ebook version for free. Seven days is enough time to complete either one of those courses - they are easy.
Chegg ebooks are not PDFs. Chegg has its own built-in browser reader, so you view them in a browser window/tab. You can also download the Chegg reader app, but you won't be able to use it for the final exam (phones/tablets are not allowed). However, you can use the browser version (in a browser window or tab) when taking the final exam. Just make sure you let the proctor know you will be using an ebook. Chegg's ebooks are searchable (Ctrl + F) and you can also use the index and jump to a page.
