Humanities CLEP
#5
The Specific Exam Feedback thread is the last category on the DegreeForum home page. (You have to be logged into the forum to access this.) Within the thread, if you click on "Title" (in "Title/Thread Starter"), it will sort them alphabetically so the tests are easier to find). I would also recommend searching through past forum posts for other feedback that has been given over the years. It generally works best if you type your query ("Humanities," "Humanities CLEP," etc.) into google like so: Humanities site:degreeforum.net.

The Public Speaking test is a DSST (similar to CLEPs, but originally for the military and administered by Prometric instead of CollegeBoard), and has two segments: a multiple-choice section and a short, limited-preparation speech. The Peterson's practice tests were very helpful for the multiple-choice section. For the speech, the topics are along the lines of an ACT essay prompt, and you have 10 minutes to prepare a 3-5 minute speech. I have done limited-preparation speaking for a number of years and my sole and only piece of advice for this part of the exam is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, especially if you are not used to impromptu speaking. Your brain adjusts rather quickly to coming up with speaking material as you are speaking, and the more speeches you give, the better and easier they will be. Free-Clep-Prep.com has a list of practice questions you can use, along with other study materials for this test (click on "DSST Exams" on the top bar, then "DSST Exam Study Guides," then scroll down to "Principles of Public Speaking"). If you have other specific questions on that test, I would be happy to try to answer them if I can.
