That's a little harsh...I live in northern KY and have attended KCTCS (Gateway actually) for the last two years and have had an excellent experience with them, every better than my local four year university. They suck at financial aid, but the rest of the staff and the quality of my classes have been great. I took a few learn on demand classes and they were pretty good too. They are far more accommodating for degree seeking students...They are strict with pre-reqs, but in my humble opinion, it is worth it!
You are correct. I was frustrated and tired when I started this thread. Hillbilly CC was pretty harsh. I spent a year in Pikeville Kentucky as an Air Force recruiter which was a nightmare. Kentucky isn't one of my favorite places. With all of that said, I believe it is silly for a college to demand a letter from Excelsior when I am willing to pay for the classes and I am not asking for them to confer a degree.
The biggest problem with getting the letter of good standing is that Excelsior's Business and Technical College seems to run in two gears - slow and stop.
