I know, I try to recommend Penn Foster but some people rather go the SL route.. Maybe because SL is cheaper? But a Penn Foster course can be done literally much more quicker than a SL course. And if you go to Excelsior, you get a letter grade from PF credit. I like the cost of SL, but I like the work requirement in PF. It's much more less stressfull, you get two chances to pass the exams and the answers are literally in the book. With one Penn Foster course, one can take like 3-4 SL courses to make up for it, but in reality not everyone finishes those SL courses in 30 days. SL is a good route if you really put time in those classes otherwise the $99 builds up every month and you will be paying more. Not that I am bragging, this is from someone who has taken 60+ credit with Straighterline and 60+ credit with Pennfoster. I really recommend Penn Foster folks! This of course if you are a bad test taker like me would I recommend SL or PF, or if your miles or work a work schedule that is impossible to go take a CLEP/DSST. So I have a little bit of experience in both institutions/organizations to post my two cents, of course each to it's own.
