I was blown away at how unbelievably easy the courses are at Penn Foster College. Two weeks ago I had just finished with Straighterline where I did Accounting 1, 2 and Business Communications. Those were easy classes too but there was some work and reading involved and a little writing assigment with the Business Communications class. Penn Foster courses on the other hand were a total pushover. I did the Financial Management in two days and could have easily done it in one. Consumer behavior took one day (still have to take a proctored final though) and Strategic Business Management took 3 days. I quickly learned that reading the book is a total waste of time unless you are interested in learning something from the course. Even if you take the time to read the book you're still only looking at 6 to 12 hours total reading time. If you just want to get your ticket punched then go through the exam and use the index at the back of the book to look up keywords and find out which answer is the correct one. These are multiple guess tests. So for anyone out there considering Penn Foster I say go for it. Easiest credit I ever acquired. Even easier than CLEP or DSST if if factor in hours spent studying for those exams and I should know because I took 24 of them.
