Of course I am talking about this with friends at the other, more appropriate forum, however if anyone is into cars they should know that the new 7th generation Corvette is coming out on Jan 13, 2013. It will be revealed at the Detroit auto show.
Some hilites:
1. 455hp 6.2 liter direct injection motor with cylinder deactivation
2. Lighter body and frame using aluminum frame rails and carbon fiber panels
3. Better seats! This is a long time coming as the Vette seats are horrible.
4. Better fuel economy. Both in town and hwy improve.
5. 8sp automatic transmission, 7sp manual. I drive automatics and the Vette's paddle shift is awesome. Can't wait to drive an 8sp.
Google "new corvette" and you'll see some spy pics and renderings but no pics of the actual car. Its Chevy's best kept secret.
I am very excited.
