Although I only need 5 upper level credit hours for my BS in Liberal Science through Excelsior, I was told that I need to take 4 courses in order to meet the depth requirement. Excelsior recommended I take (4) DANTES/CLEP exams in the area of history. They said that I needed to take; Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union and Civil War & Reconstruction. Then I had the choice of taking two exams from the following; US History I, US History II, Western Civilization I, Western Civilization II, Introduction to the Middle East and Western Europe since 1945.
Because I'm in a crunch for time (I need to have my BS by the end of May 2012) I wanted to ask for help in determining what my best option is. Do I take the upper level courses first and then the lower level? Do I take the lower level first and if so, which ones?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.
