I agree with dblhelx. Acquire as many DSST and CLEP credits then enroll.
Iâm in a similar situation and I can not afford to waste money. Frankly, paying for the testing makes my pennies scream. If Iâm broke or something comes up I can skip a month and everything will be ok. The credits I have are still there. I pick up the pace again on my next check.
Instant cert is definitely worth the money. I purchased the $108 for 6month plan. The specific feedback in the forum is a lifesaver.
Amazon.com is great for books (and sometimes you can review a few pages, I have accessed practice tests this way.) Do you have a ½ Price Bookstore or something similar?
Do you have friend that you can bring on board? Someone that might be interested in picking up some CLEPS, you could share books, ectâ¦
Utilize the library for books, internet, ectâ¦
Iâm not sure if this is an option, but my internet is Clear, I paid $100 for the modem (so I could get out of the contract) and about $30 per month for the service. Worse case, you could get nocharge.com if it is available. Very, very slow, but better than nothing. (I wouldnât use nocharge.com for actual classes taken online.)
Petersenâs practice tests are another great resource.
