How difficult would you rate them? How much time, on average, per week did you spend on each class?
Am considering switching to TESC and would need to complete at least 60 graded credits for the grad schools I want to apply to.
Do you think it was worth it to go to TESC if you couldn't test out of everything and had to actually take classes?TIA

I can't answer the question because I'm a COSC student, but I wanted to mention an option that you have with any of the big 3. Let's say you take a TESC class and don't like it, or you find other cheaper options out there. You can take any sort of mixture of classes from other schools and put them towards your degree. Obviously check with TESC before you enroll in any non-TESC class, but they'll likely take most of the RA classes you find.
I probably would do a combination of DL classes if I had to take 60% of my classes as graded credits. I'd do some distance courses through Adams State, CSU, LSU, and perhaps others. If your grad school is ok with Straighterline, it would also be an option.
I'm in the COSC capstone right now and yes having deadlines and assignments gets a little old. I really miss the self-paced study that I had with SL and my tests.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being hardest, I'd put them at less than 5 for even my hardest class. I've taken online classes at 6 schools, TESC is the easiest of the group. (generically speaking, and I'm sure it varies by course)
Time spent per week, let's just say less than what you might think. I read fast, I write fast, and I only spent significant portions of my brain space on high-yield assignments. I'd say 1-2 hours per week per course. I spend WAYYYYYYYY more time here lol.

I have not taken any other online courses so I cannot compare, but I found TESC courses reasonably difficult and rather time consuming. I spent between 10 and 15 hours per week per course. It depends on the course though, all of my courses were accounting, math, and science, it might be different for other subjects.

I totally agree LaceyLady.
I spend about the same amount of time. Maybe 10-15 on average per week, but sometimes a course requires more time and effort.
Difficultly really varies. It really depends upon your interest and knowledge of that specific subject. I can honestly say that no course is easy. They all require a good amount of effort. If you are a seasoned veteran (like cookderosa) and are self disciplined (like ryoder) then a course may seem COMPARATIVELY easy.
Just my two cents and I'm stick'en to em.

I only took 2 courses at TESC but they were not easy. I do tend to write long papers and I was working for an A in each course. I also spent at least 15-20 hours per week.

The accounting courses take some time and the mid terms were hard IMO. Business Policy has alot of writing assignments and the grading is pretty harsh.
