That's a good point about the time.
I read very quickly and was shocked at how I came the closest I ever have to running out of time. I found that some of the longer questions were unnecessarily long and not necessarily difficult.
Just be ready to plow through the questions.

I've taken a few CLEP tests in the past- this is the first one I used Instantcert for. Instantcert was a good, broad overview, but I thought it lacked some details. My brain needs details to help flesh out ideas.
I added some things to Instancert which I think were beneficial.
Oh, I scored a 73 on it yesterday.
Here goes:
- Instantcert flashcard sets. I would go through a set, then skip to another, then back to the first set. I think it gives you a chance to not just memorize, but to help it sink in a bit.
- Official CLEP Biology study Guide, Cliffs AP Biology Practice Test Answers & Explanations, Princeton AP Biology Answers & Explanations, AP Biology for Dummies Answers & Explanations (notice a trend?).
------This is what was extremely helpful to me and I would recommend this to anyone planning on taking CLEP Biology. The answers to the practice exams give explanations for the right and wrong answers. It's like getting a bunch of note cards from a friend who took the class the semester before you did. Instead of having to read entire chapters, you just read these bullet points that really help drive home the main points. Also, they're in random order, just like the test, so when you read them you remember them without any other context. I think it helps.
All in all, I think that you could pass with only using Instantcert, and probably score in the 50's, but with the added help of the Answers & Explanations, you could nudge yourself into the 60's or 70's and feel more confident with your chances on test day.
