learner.org videos for Gerontology exam
#1
for the excelsior gerontology exam;

if you watched the recommended 'growing old in a new age' videos on learner.org, were they helpful? are they necessary? there are so many videos and i don't have time to watch all. were some more helpful than others? thank you!

I have taken quite a few ECE exams. What helped me the most is the following: First, I downloaded the free Exam Content Guide from the Excelsior website--this gives you word for word what they expect you to know and what percentage each area will be on the test. Also included with the Content Guide is a free practice test. Second, I checked 'Specific Exam Feedback' to see what other people said about the test and a more accurate description of what to focus on. I purchased a used textbook on Amazon to give me an overview of the material and more in depth info where needed. Third, I purchased the practice exams from the EC website--these are NOT necessary but to me they were worth every penny. These practice exams prepare you for what the real exam will be like. And lastly, I went through the IC flashcards as a reinforcement of the material. I would not rely on the learner.org videos as my only source of material. I think the videos are really great but they are broad in scope and you might not have the time to view them all. If you have the time to view them they are a great resource.

I am glad your test went well :hurray: I noticed that you did decide to try the practice exams and I am glad they were helpful to you. Even though they cost extra they are worth every penny IMHO.
