My wife is thinking about becoming a PTA. Does anyone out there know which on-line school would be good for it?

The short answer is "none".
See the FAQ for the American Physical Therapy Association, which accredits programs for PTs and PTAs. No program held entirely online is CAPTE-accredited, because you need the hands-on clinical work. Some states will allow you to be licensed as a PTA even if you graduate from a non-accredited program; your profile says you're in Pennsylvania, which
does require graduation from a CAPTE-accredited program in order to register for the exam. (click on the link for "Application: National Physical Therapy Examination (PT & PTA)" to see the application - the requirement is stated under Eligibility Requirement for examination)
There are 13 CAPTE-accredited PTA programs in Pennsylvania, and hopefully one is near you.
