Yes, it does. I am getting a BSBA from TESC and Princ of Finance was credited to my record in the "Finance" area with no problem. So, go ahead and knock that one out.

Does anyone have any idea about the Dantes Principles Finance test?
Do you know of any good study, pre-testing materials?

Thanks

If you join Instantcert, you can check out the specific exam feedback. $20/month If not then it really pays to do a 'SEARCH' of the forum

Principles of Finance is my next test, and, needless to say, I'm a little apprehensive about it. Hoping to find some good information soon in the Exam Feedback section.

I just took this one a little over a week ago. I passed it with a 430! It was very hard, but ended up not being as hard as I anticipated. I studied harder for this test than any other I have taken. I studied 3 wks and put in 60 hours the last week. I highly recommend looking at the Specific Exam Feedback for this test and knowing everything that's listed on the Refreshed Exam posts. The hardest thing for me was to find a good study resource to use. I felt like I was jumping around so much and didn't have one good guide of everything I needed. I suggest printing off the DSST Principles of Finance fact sheet off of there website and making sure that you know everything listed on that sheet. This was my strategy and ended up working well, even though I didn't have one major resource to use. Instantcert is a good starter to the info, but not enough to pass in itself. I used a Corporate Finance book by Richard Brealey and it ended up being the best for me. I made sure I read all the chapters, several times, over the material that is mentioned on the fact sheet and exam feedback until it stuck with me. I know y'all can pass it if I can! Good luck to you all. ~Kelsey

Thanks Kelsey....this is really helpful. Do you recommend starting with IC, or with the textbook first?

Hi Levi!
I would start with IC and the DSST fact sheet and see what all you know and what you need to learn. IC was a good starter for the information, but like I said, it wasn't near enough to pass by itself. The textbook gave me trouble when I first started because the terminology was different and in some cases they assume that you know what terms mean. I used a lot of the internet help sites mentioned in the specific exm feedback as well. It helped me get some of the terms down and to hear it explained a different way. I especially recommend teachmefinance.com This was a really helpful site and most everything on that site is also on the test. After I started getting the hang of the info. and feeling like it started to stick, I went back and read through the chapters that were parallel with the DSST fact sheet. This really cemented everything in for me and I started to feel confident that I could actually pass! That's what I did and it worked for me. I hope that you find it helpful. Sorry for the lengthy post! I always write too many details. Let me know if you have any more questions. I would love to help in any way. Blessings ~Kelsey

Thank you, Kelsey....I appreciate detailed answers. LOL

Did you feel like you were trying to beat the clock, or did you feel relaxed as far as time?
