Hey,
I'm fixing to go in and take both this test and the Principles of Management CLEP back to back on Monday and I have not studied for the Supervision at all.
Is it safe to go in simply on the overlap from Mgmnt?
I took two Petersons practice DSST's and scored a 74% and a 80% on them.
This is my first DSST so let me know what you guys think.
I also have a scored 63 on the REA mgmnt CLEP pt and a 63% on the petersons mgmnt pt.
Am I good to go??

I'd say your good to go...I'm so positive...I'm willing to bet my life on it.
:iagree:
I've never scored a 70% on anything on Peterson's banghead ... The general consensus is that the Peterson's exams are a lot tougher than the actual CLEPS.
Now I will say that I've never heard anyone compare the Peterson's to DSST exams...but I'm willing to bet that since the DSST exams only have 4 answer choices as opposed to CLEPs 5 answer choices...that that alone narrows down the playing field.
I'm still ticked at myself that I didn't do the DSST Supervision after I did the CLEP Management exam while that stuff was fresh in my brain.
But once again...go ahead and kick butt and rack up those easy 6 credits.
I scored a 68 on the CLEP Management exam and used IC & Barron's Business Review: Management.
Can't wait to hear your results.

Alright, well I'm going to hold you personally responsible if I fail these things
I will PM you and let you know how it goes. I think I failed English Comp (my last test) so I'm kind of paranoid

I don't mind...you can hold me responsible!!! I don't think there is any way possible you can score that high on a Peterson's and not pass those exams. Especially since their difficulty is not that high for either exam.
Don't feel bad about CLEP English Composition w/essay exam. I took this in July 2008 and received a score of 49...only to find out a year + later that because of a scoring error...I actually received a 50. I was so pissed it wasn't funny. And since Excelsior doesn't accept the exam...I don't get any credit for it and basically just wasted $85 for no reason at all.
I didn't enroll at Excelsior until May 2009 and if I had enrolled before January 2009 I would have received at least 3 credits for that exam. But they changed their policy about "splitting credits." Just my luck I guess.
Anyway...I would wish you luck on your exams but I know you won't need it!!!
GO GET EM'!!!!!

Scoring error? oh man i would've been sooooooo mad. I scored 49 on microecon and I swear i'll have a heart attack if they say it's really a 50. Especially since it destroyed my will to test for two months and sent me to straighterline-hell.
what was the excuse?

I just got back from Strayer and I passed both exams:hurray:
452 on the DSST
63 on the CLEP
The DSST was so easy it wasn't funny but the CLEP was a bit harder than I expected...I was hoping to be in the 70's on that CLEP...oh well a Pass is after all a pass:p
I will be pissed off if I failed English....I took Freashman Comp two years ago thinking it would be accepted by TESC and then just 4 months ago found out they don't grant credit for that test
So this is my second try at getting those fricken English req's out of my life.:ack:

You know...I'm not really one to say I told you so but guess what...."I TOLD YOU SO!!!!"
I knew you were gonna kick butt!
Congratulations!cheersmate
Rhashad: I can't seem to find the letter that ETS sent me but it stated something about a "system scoring error." Sorry about your Micro CLEP. I received that letter in December of 2009 and it seems that that was the only exam (English Comp w/essay) that was affected. Good luck on all of your future exams.
I also was curious about your "straighterline hell" comment because I'm gonna be taking English Composition I, Macro, & Microeconomics with Straighterline next month. What was wrong with your experience??? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Welcome to the forum. I don't have an exact web address you can go to for the petersons on hand. If you do a SEARCH you will find it in no time at all.
This has to be one of the most requested.
Do you belong to Instant cert? If you join up you will be able to access the specific exam feedback which will tell you about what other members have used to study and how hard they found the tests. All for the minimal amount of $20 per month. All the best

Use the link and then follow the pictures. It'll get you there -
Free Practice DSST Tests!
We really need a sticky or something for these. It kills me that there are people that haven't heard of the practice exams. They're such a great resource.
