Credit for ALEKS Corp (McGraw Hill) Online courses in College Algebra & Statistics
My sons course has not landed on his transcript yet either. I emailed them and still no response. It shows approved but not listed on the transcript. He also wants to get on to his next course.

Ours took about a week- and I don't know why, but try logging in using the SS# instead of the other methods (email, etc) because the person helping me told me that is the most accurate way to access the account- and sure enough, when i changed the way i logged in, it was right.

We did the SS# method. At least I have a better guide post on how long it might take. Thank you Jennifer.

Add business stats to that it will duplicate if you take the other two.
this is the email i received today.
"Please be advised that no additional courses in statistics can be applied to your degree."
So, now i need to find a 3 credit general education credit...
Any ideas on a simple test in dsst that will cover that?
I was thinking either intro to law or intro to computers test.

ok, so I'm pretty sure we have a final list of ALEKS classes for TESC. It appears as if 2 of them duplicate, which usually means you won't get credit for both- so choose either/or from those.

TESC ALEKS evaluation
001 Beginning Algebra- MAT102
002 Intermediate Algebra- MAT115
003 College Algebra- MAT121 *TESC Duplicate College Algebra w/trig
004 College Algebra with Trig- MAT121 *TESC Duplicate College Algebra
005 PreCal- MAT129 *TESC Dulplicate Trig
006 Trig- MAT129 *TESC duplicates PreCal
007 Intro Stats- STA201
008 Business Stats- OPM351
009 Stats for Beh. Science- STA199

Based on this list, anyone should be able to obtain 12 non-duplicating math credits plus 6 non-duplicating stats credits for a total of 18 possible math/natural science credits. When math/science general education area is full, those overflow into general education electives.
Additionally, business stats would be a free elective (not general education elective) for everyone except business majors.

Interesting. It's interesting to me because stats are gen ed math/nat science- why won't they count? Is there a policy somewhere? HOWEVER, I do want to point out that business stats has always been a free elective, so that never counts as a general elective...but I still wonder about that email.

Sorry you're having trouble, but that sentence just made me laugh out loud. I'll be some places even have a "treat like crap" stamp so they don't have to write it out so much. Big Grin

Forgot to post this. Spoke with advisement over at TESC last week. So they said that if you have stats any one of them the others are a waste because stats is stats. Trig is a waste because that would fall in college math category and would already be filled by my college algebra or something like that. So what im getting at is dont do what i did and take all of them if you dont need them because its pointless.
I think the only time all these maths i took would help would be if i was a math major.
