Math Exam Help Needed!
#1
Hey All!

Ok, I'm desperate and turning to the experts here for help. I need to get a quantitative reasoning course on my transcript for EC to complete my BSLS with them. They said any college level math would work. I will have to take statistics for my BSHS so I'm looking for something else to take.

What DSST or CLEP exams would count at EC as a college level math?
Which is the easiest for someone who hasn't had a math class in almost 30 yrs? I'm looking for something I can probably pass with minimal study. I haven't failed any exams yet and I don't want to start now.

Thanks for your help!

Will they take ALEKS for credit? Maybe you can knock out one of their products in a month, and then it only will cost you $20. Good luck!

How about Aleks? Get over 70% on your first eval and you are done. Just let Ace know and have your transcript done.

Straighterline college algebra

I've been using ALEKS to get back into the swing of things, math-wise, and I'm enjoying it. I've forgotten so much algebra in the last 20 years, its not even funny, but ALEKS has been a god-send. And by the time I'm done with it, I hope to have 12 credits out of the way (Int Algebra, College Alg + Trig, Precalc, & one of the Stats courses) in the next few months, but I didn't want to cram for the CLEPs in a way that I'd end up just forgetting everything after I'm done.

Its not quick (I've taken about 8 hours here and there so far and I'm about 1/2way done with the Int Alg) but I'm relearning all I've forgotten since HS and I'm actually enjoying it. I like the interface for the most part (but I'll like it more once I figure out all the shortcut keys for the presentation of the answers, like to hit a key to put it in fraction mode and all that.

Its $20/month and I think its money well spent.
