As I arrived home this afternoon I found a FED EX envelope on my doorstep. It was from CLEP reporting an input error on my natural science test I completed two weeks ago. They have reviewed my score due to an irregularity in their programming and have reviewed all other tests I have taken. They have found only the most recent test to have been incorrectly scored and have upped my test result my 3 points and are refunding my testing money. I still failed the test..it is still been reported toTESC..and I still cannot retest for 6 months. Iam hopeful this error may apply to some of you who have tested recently and that the correction may work in your favor if in fact this was a system wide problem, which it appears it may have been. As for those of you you recently passed by the hairs of your chiny chin chin..I hope and pray that there will be no adverse effect forthcoming in an envelope. I wish the test correction was 12 points and not just 3 as that was what I failed by...yuk!!
Stay tuned one an all ..I do believe there is more reports by others to follow.

When I first started reading your post I had such high hopes that you had received even better news than you reported but at least you know that CLEP actually accounts for their mistakes. I'd like to find a fed-ex envelope with 7 points in college math when I get home from Vegas!!

Oh my, can I buy the 3 points to add to my English Comp score? I wrote College Board the day I received my results of failing the English Comp exam. I questioned the score. They responded with, "our computerized exams can not be reviewed, you failed, go away", okay it wasn't exactly like that, but that's what I read. Maybe I should write them again.

Ron, first of all, just like Brian, when I first started reading this I thought that you were going to have some really great news to share. Next time, right!!!
Second, haven't you ever read about all those studies that tell you to be careful what you say about yourself because your brain believes what you tell it. Stop telling yourself that you are a "science dummy!" You are not! You are going to keep at this challenge until you conquer it. You have come too far to be overcome now. So there!

I also took Natural Sciences and failed by two points (got a 48). About a week later I received a letter upping my score by three points (to a 51). It was just a pass! I thought the problem may have been just my CLEP computer, but I guess not. ETS/CLEP also reviewed all my other tests (humanities, and social sciences/history) but they were fine.

Well at least they admitted a mistake..
I recently got a CLEP transcript to porve to National American University that I passed Ethics in a America back in 1998.. and just above it.. my one failure at Amercican Government stared back at me..
I felt bad for the rest of the day.. LOL

I just failed US History I a couple of weeks ago with a 49. I wonder if it would be beneficial to contact CLEP to see if maybe they made "3 point" mistake on mine
