LatinTea Wrote:Hey, I guessed it! Glad to see that you have had your fun and now you can sit back and say, I did that, no regrets.

BTW, thanks for all you do for our country. We (us non-military) sometimes (well, a lot of time) get complacent about our freedoms here in the U.S. After studying U.S. History II and reading about all the lives lost in the wars, I just gotta say, 'thank you'. It's so small and what you all do is so big, but it's all I can do....so there you have it, "Thanks!" Smile

LatinTea,
You're welcome. It is amazing that no matter how bad of a day we (military folks) might be having, when ever someone comes up and says thanks or thank you, it automatically turns into a great day. Smile

Mine is of a cat that has attitude! Like there is a cat alive without an attitude! Anyway, I was feeling ornery one evening so I found this and starting using it. It makes me laugh and when I get stressed I can look at it and remind myself to not be so serious! I hope it makes others smile or laugh when they are having a bad day too!

I took a picture of a local resident here and it came out much better than expected. The full resolution picture is simply incredible, but you can make out some of the detail here:

All the bumps, horns, and skin texture just really freaks me out. Island creatures are so cool. It's like nature on crack.

Well thank you! I have to give most of the credit to Nikon though. They make some great cameras.

As for what it is - It's a Cuban Rock Iguana. They grow to around 3-4 feet long, though there's one or two around here that are 5+ feet. They're usually pretty docile and you almost have to step over them while walking on the sidewalks. They're all over the place here.

Cool little critters, though they're still wild animals. Was diving last weekend and in between dives a large male went after my buddy's bare toes. Bit him hard enough to start bleeding, though it was nothing some iodine and salt water couldn't cure.

You can read more about them here:

Love the cat Marianne,

I think this picture could sum up many of the days that I have been having recently.
