Here an article on the new way to make your federal student loan payments more manageable starting July 1, 2009. Some people might be able to have no payment at all because of the income guidelines. Also what ever is left after the repayment schedule the balance could be forgiven. That would be from 10 to 25 years. This program is for people that make less then they owe.
