Thanks for the inspiration! I'm closing in on mine also!

Thanks to all for taking the time to respond. I was feeling giddy last evening after finally making it to the single digits of remaining credits. Today reality has settled back in. I have 3 tough upper level ECEâs remaining and need to stay focused.
Iâm typically more of a tortoise than a hare. Last year and for the first time in my life, I found myself stymied in my quest to gain a promotion at work. Skill, ability and experience couldnât get me past the degree requirement. Fear of failure is a strong motivator and it kicked me into high gear. Iâve been on a mission since and have dedicated every spare moment I have to this goal. To say itâs been a tough haul would be a gross understatement. With a demanding job and family responsibilities, those spare moments I mentioned were ones I previously enjoyed for sleep. Of course, you all know the drill and are sharing the experience with me.
I love self study and learning and I truly wish I could have traveled this road at a more leisurely pace. There are a number of courses/exams I would have loved to have taken and a few I could have happily done without. (The demon Statistics comes to mind. Passing that one took more blood than sweat for me.)
At any rate, Iâm truly grateful for IC and for the opportunity to interact with some very cool people.
Thank you. Best to all!
-Terry

Way to go, my friend. And, Marshall you are right - Terry is making us look bad. You and I need to get our heineys (can you say that on IC?) in gear?
Terry, I completely agree with you about some subjects that I wish I could have spent more time on instead of feeling like I was just "rushing through it" to pass a test. Maybe when you have your degree finished, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through US History, Biology, Calculus or the like. Or, you can just get another degree!
This whole testing out thing can be very addictive. And this tremendous group of supportive people don't hurt.
Best wishes to you and keep it up. You're an inspiration to the rest of us slackers. Oh yeah, Marshall if you're reading this - I went there.
Good luck,
Kelly
