Could someone please advise me on my transcript
#1
I am trying to choose a school to get a BA degree quickest.

I have credits from UC Santa Barbara and some a California community college.

I took about quite a bit of FEMA and can finish them really quickly. The rest I think I can clep. But I am not positive as to what the current best option is.
Economics / business classes are easiest for me as one can see below. I work in international film sales now.

My total units are 84.0 And my total GPA is 2.10. Ultimately I would love to raise it.

Thanks in advance.

This is from starting in 1996. So the grades are a bit dated. these are UC quarter units.

So you have 84 quarter hours. That translates into about 56 semester hours.

The fastest way to get a degree is via Charter Oak State College, Excelsior College, or Thomas Edison State College. Utilizing credit by exam, you can earn credit at your own pace. Most people take their time, but the fastest I have personally seen it done from 0 credits to 120 was in 16 weeks. That was the exception though, not the rule.

Do you have any experience with languages besides English?

If so, there are some tests that you can earn up to 12 credits for a half hour interview via the phone.

Up to 25 credits can be applied to TESC if you are going with a Bachelor of the Arts.

One thought does comes to mind.

Given your respectable size of business credits, check out the Business Administration concentration at Charter Oak. You may very well be done. Those roughly 56 credits would apply to the degree total of 120. Charter Oak also accepts FEMA courses that are transcripted through Fredericks Community College. It is by no means cheap at $60 a credit, but it appears that they will accept every course evaluated by Fredericks. Incidentally, they Fredericks has evaluated 41 credits worth of FEMA. That would be $2460 plus miscellaneous fees. 97 credits towards the degree, then you just take CLEP and DSST exams to cover the difference.

Take all of that with several grains of salt. I'm not responsible if it doesn't work out that way. Always talk with an actual adviser.

Just a thought anyways.

Thank you very much for the input.

About that language test. I am a native speaker of Russian. Do those phone interview tests apply to native speakers?

Thank you.

Here is the ACE review of the OPI program. It doesn't matter if you are a native speaker or not.

This is also in relation to the interview:

This is an excellent suggestion. Thank you very much. I think this language test will work well for me.
