Coopersmith Exam format?
#1
Not sure if I am in the right sub form for this. But I have a very elementary question about Coopersmith. What are the exams like generally? Multiple choice? Essay? How long do they take?

I'm not finding any of this information on the CooperSmith website.

Depends on the course. Some are all multiple choice. On the two courses I did, there were between 50-100 questions. Some courses are multiple choice mixed with "short essay" (think of that as 1-2 quality paragraph). I'm sure there was a time limit, but I don't remember that detail from a few years back.
TESU: BALS June 2021 (comm college, clep, sdc sophia coopersmith, SOS110, and capstone)

Thanks. Do they let you know what kind it is before you take it? I ask because I often need to use dictation software for writing, and frequently that's not compatible with the proctoring browsers, so I would like to know going in what to expect so that I know to schedule the exam on a "good" day for my hands if I'll have to type.

(I don't see it mentioned in any of the course descriptions before purchasing.)

You can email them and they will send you the course syllabus and additional info about the course. I think they even sent me the powerpoint slides of a course I was interested in so I could decide whether to take it. Some courses (like History of Board Games) require you to write an essay and submit it (untimed, you can submit it either before or while being enrolled), aside from the exams.

Thanks for the tip. I'll do that!
