Do they have specific criteria they are looking for?

After carefully reviewing your application, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Elmwood Institute. We received a large number of applications, and admissions decisions were very difficult, as there were many incredible candidates.
We acknowledge the time and effort put into your application and congratulate you on your academic accomplishments. We are sorry to have to share this disappointing news with you. We are honored that you considered Elmwood Institute, and we thank you for your time. We hope you continue to pursue your education goals and wish you success in your future endeavors. Sincerely,

Also rejected.
I doubt there is much you can say on the questionnaire to improve your chances of being accepted unless you are from Africa. This program is ultimately geared toward students in Africa, so I imagine they are accepting a small initial cohort just to test out the program at first. I'm sure it was helpful that Tinasam was both very qualified and was able to complete the application and questionnaire the first day this opportunity got announced. If you look on TinaSam's thread about being a student there, I believe there are six students total in the cohort (or maybe the class?). Please don't take any of what I am saying as trying to diminish the accomplishments of the people who did get admitted. I think they wanted a group that they felt would be dedicated to the process and a good fit for the program, and they found that.

And yes, I'm pretty sure that me applying and sending everything right after it was posted had a lot to do with it. I wasn't going to turn that down if I could get in because it is stupid cheap and perfect for my plans and isn't an MBA which I really, really didn't want to do, lol. This will pair well with the Ph.D. I hope to be accepted into for next year.

Wow that’s a lot of denials. What kind of things are on the questionnaire?
