My goodness! Unless I'm writing a small book, or short novel, I don't think I can get anywhere close to 150 pages... I guess I'll have to work on my writing skills and sharpen them for the next educational journey I go on!

For business and education, the dissertations will usually be fewer than 200 pages. 100-150 pages looks typical. I looked at the South College EdD dissertations, and they were mostly in that range. When the EdD started, I heard that South only allows the use of secondary data. 6 months to a year for a dissertation in an applied field sounds about right. The problem with for-profits and why they keep getting sued by doctoral students is the high turnover rate among instructors. Students report having to start the revision and review process all over every time they get a new chair/advisor.

I can feel the issue with this. I had an instructor quit on me and it was extremely frustrating because there was no sign of issue before his departure. As much as your new instructor says they won't care about previous submissions, everyone knows they look at past readings and have feedback. It a slowdown that is very annoying and frustrating.

It doesn't have to be that long. But it's hard to avoid going over 100 pages because, unlike anything else you will ever write, you have to explain everything, cover all bases, review the literature, provide context, and explore the meaning and implications of the results.
I found it much more difficult to stay
under my university's word limit.

Does South Colleg maintain a thesis/dissertation repository that is open to the public? I am really excited to see the level of water there.

There is a repo but only if you're in dissertation. Extremely valuable to have and use when you're in the course.

The turnover is ridiculous

7/7/2024 Update:
Began the first course DBA6515 Theory, Practice, And Accountability in Leadership
South College requires DBA students to complete all C1 Formatives and Summatives within 14 days to be labeled as participating.
I've submitted all the C1 Formatives and Summatives and am working on my second C2 formative assignment.
My current pace is to do at least complete 1 to 2 deliverables during the week and 2 or more over the weekend. This might not be sustainable later on, but at the moment I have the time and the energy to push through.
