Gandhi-King Global Academy - United States Institute of Peace
#1
Many years ago I was the Executive Assistant to the Peace Corps General Counsel in Washington, DC. He often allowed me to stroll down the street to view United States Institute of Peace (USIP) presentations and panel discussions that interested me. I have for years participated in free online USIP courses

Today, I'm thrilled to learn the USIP education and training that has held my interest these many years now falls under the Gandhi-King Global Academy.

"The Gandhi-King Global Academy promotes values-based peacebuilding through a combination of training, research, convening, small grants and direct support to peace processes."

Hope it's a great program, but the name gives vibes of "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too."

Apparently an allusion to an obscure film. https://youtu.be/XhNVtNdD_Aw?si=kYFV3dNMiv8FQsJa

From which name do you receive your vibes? United States Institute of Peace? or Gandhi-King Global Academy?

Course descriptions are available via the link provided.

I really hope this program is fantastic, but the name makes me think of "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too." Not a good impression.
