Is there a way to see similarity scores on submitted assignments?

You're referring to plagiarism checker of written assignments, correct? I'm not sure if UMPI uses anything for AI, but I believe they have a system similar to TurnItIn for checks. Most institutions now will have something similar in place, some even have AI detection now, I don't think they'll have anything to show you, but professors grading will 'know' on their end. Note, as an example, StraighterLine (when I was using them X years ago) was using TurnItIn.

At my grad school, they used Turnitin, which gave a similarity score. Turnitin sucks, it sees references, block quotes, and sometimes random 2word combinations as plagiarism, so I wouldn’t stress too much about it as professors know this.
TESU used something different, don’t remember the name, but it was equally bad. Most schools have dumped AI detectors because the false positive rate was enormously high and also falsely flagged non-native speakers.

I'm the only person on the planet with my name and i've submitted dozens and dozens of assignments through TurnItIn so I always laugh when it flags my name. it doesn't always which is entertaining. It's always funny when my entire reference page is flagged.

I submitted a paper this evening (for TESU SOS-1500) and it got flagged as 100% AI content. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. My academic writing style has been consistent for over thirty years. I guess Copyleaks thinks I am fake.

Have you used Grammarly or another grammar checker/paragraph tool? Grammarly's paragraph writing coach will cause many AI detectors to see the content as AI generated. If you are willing to spend a few bucks, originality.ai (at least last I looked) had a pay as you go model where you could buy $10 worth of credits to check your text for AI. They claim their tool is more than 90% accurate at detecting AI with the lowest false positive rate of anybody, and they continually evaluate their tool and test it against others. I've run my writing through originality.ai (a typical 5 or 10 page paper costs maybe 40 cents or something) and it gives a pretty detailed report, ranking confidence from 0-100% that various parts of the paper are AI. It ccasionally flags stuff i have written as having some lkelihood of being AI, but generally it gives me a clean bill of health. If you try originality.ai and it finds your content to be plagiaris free, I'd submit screenshots of the score if you are concerned about being accused of academic fraud.
