Is this course duplication?
#1
I took a Financial Management course from the B&M university I got my bachelor's degree from. TESU transferred it in as FIN-301, Principles of Finance and put it under the Finance requirement in the Business Core.

What I am wondering is whether I can get credit for Sophia's Principles of Finance in the Finance AOS. This course apparently transfers in as FIN-200 at TESU.

My suggestion is to switch the classes around, FIN-200 for the Business Core and the FIN-301 in the Finance AOS as this would hit the requirement and also be upper level if you needed, if you do it the way you mentioned, you'll have a lower level course in the AOS... It really depends where you want to place each class and if it fits the requirements or not. Here's the WIKI for BSBA Finance: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan

Duplication happens when 2 courses transfer in as the exact same equivalency, such Comp 2 and Business Writing both transferring in as Writing 201. If the equivalencies are different, then both will help and you can follow the advice given above for organizing the classes for maximum benefit.

Good to know, thanks. I have plenty of UL Finance already for the AOS, so that's not an issue.
