Seeking advice on accelerating my education path for a career in finance, business, or management.  What is the fastest path to getting a bachelors degree, that also won’t be seen by employers as “diploma mill.” Any recommendations on an efficient and adequate academic routes in these fields?

To answer your questions: What is the fastest path to getting a bachelors degree, that also won’t be seen by employers as “diploma mill.”
Any degree that allows you to transfer in a max of 75% alternative credits or more for the degree, competency based programs, etc. All the institutions we recommend are regionally accredited, there are a few that accept nationally accredited credits in addition to ACE/NCCRS options.

Any recommendations on an efficient and adequate academic routes in these fields?
Without knowing your budget, commitments, study habits, etc that's asked for in the addendum and template, I would recommend UMPI for Competency Based or TESU for max transfer of 114 credits.

It depends a lot on circumstances, etc. But I agree with bjcheung77 that the best options are usually UMPI or TESU.

Sometimes it's PUG or even SNHU. But typically not for the degrees you mentioned.

Your Age: 25
What kind of degree do you want?: business/finance/accounting degree, I want to work in finance, but am scared I may never get a good entry position if employers think “X” school is a diploma mill.
Current Regional Accredited Credits: I have some credits from community college. Not sure how many, maybe 12 credit hours. 

I also don’t necessarily have a budget, theoretically have as much study/work time, and am very committed. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a pretty academically smart kid, dropped out from a pretty great school. Just honestly want a degree as quick as I possibly can finish, that won’t be looked down by employers (finance is a bit competitive), and will hypothetically lead me to a decent entry role position. 

I also know that a lot of these things go on me - networking, how I perform at work, etc.

Neither are degree mills. TESU is a bit of a no-name state school while UMPI is part of the University of Maine system. Neither is particularly better or worse than the other.

I would suggest reading the wiki and see which one you think sounds best for your needs.

It is never a good idea to put anything on your resume intended to deceive. If you are not comfortable with putting a school on your resume, then don't go there.

It is never a good idea to put anything on your resume intended to deceive. If you are not comfortable with putting a school on your resume, then don't go there.

I’d also argue there’s more to an applicant than “target school,” yet that’s what employers do.

Penn State is ranked #60 by U.S. news and is the best college you can go to that is easy to hack with alt credits such as Sophia/Study.com as they allow 84 transfer credits. However, it will cost you over $20,000 to get that degree versus around $3k-10k for other colleges we recommend.

There's a debate on whether it is worth it to spend extra time to try to get a higher-ranked bachelor's or spend that spare time and money going for a master's at a high-ranked college such as UIUC iMBA for 24k.
