@FM1, you just need to make sure of a couple of things: 1) Max the certs, degree, experience trifecta by doing some certs that allow you more experience or knowledge from learning on Coursera. 2) Also make sure to transfer the max credits, you can transfer more than 90 credits in, but only 90 will be used for the degree, 30 must be done at UMPI. And if you want, share your spreadsheet/template on your google/one drive and we can comment on it...

Great, thanks for confirming.

Thanks for the advice. Are you able to clarify what you mean in point 1? Not sure what you mean by 'max the certs, degree, experience trifecta by doing some certs that allow you more experience or knowledge from learning on Coursera'.
I'll definitely link the spreadsheet for some feedback once I've completed it.

Oh, as per the link you have in post #71, it's in regards to the UMPI BABA PM & IS, there are a few Coursera options you can take. Thus, you hit the trifecta of certs, degree, experience... Since the Coursera/TADA offerings have been extended for new users until the end of the month, people should go for what they need and want towards the degree. I still think it's a great investment of energy/time to get the certs, even if you do decide to take the courses at UMPI... You can decide for yourself.

The cost is about $1K difference, is that going to be within your budget or not? Another option is, wait for that one session, you're just a few months away, I would get the Coursera/ACE freebies, such as the ones for Project Management...
Sorry, I didn't see your response until today. I applied to each of the Big 3, including Excelsior. TESU and Excelsior only accepted 70 something credits. COSC only accepted 40 something. UMGC and Liberty accepted 81 but Liberty is much cheaper with Sophia (15%) and CAP(25%) stackable discounts. The University of the Cumberlands accepted 90 credits and is the cheapest @ $220/hour with no discounts. UC was the only one to transfer all Sophia business courses for their equivalent at UC, mostly as upper level.
I really like the flexibility of Sophia. It sounds like UMPI is more similar. I'm frugal but my time is more important to me than money. Unfortunately, I don't know how many Sophia credits UMPI will accept, I have 95 plus the CSM course. I can't apply to UMPI for several months but wish UMPI would evaluate my transcript now so I know which way to proceed. I am more concerned about finishing quickly than starting immediately.
I signed up for three Coursera certificates through the Dream Academy pursuant to a post here; Intuit Bookkeeping, Salesforce Sales Development Rep and Google Project Management. I'm uncertain if these courses are accepted for college credit but the knowledge should be useful. I was not aware Coursera offered free courses worth college credit. How does one determine which free courses are accepted for college credit? Does Coursera offer business courses accepted for master's level credit?

@SophiaPrincess, what's the limit of transfers for UC? I guess it would be at most 75% or 90 credits and not the 113/114 for the Big 3.

As Rachel said the sheet is out of date. I'll work on making a new one soon.
Just curious if there has been an update to this? I am new here, just joined today, and I am awed at this wealth of information (even though some of it is overwhelming). I stumbled upon all of this while looking into UoPeople, which I already thought was a well-kept secret, but this forum is a national treasure! Do you think 6 months is still a realistic goal for someone with a full-time job without it completely consuming every aspect of their life?
& thank you to everyone who has participated on this forum thus far, I feel I will be continually stumbling upon valuable information over the coming months.

The limit is 90 but it's a genuine 90. UC is the ONLY college I applied to which properly transferred all my Sophia business credit. Every other college transferred some as undefined 1XX business courses forcing you to retake the course to meet a degree requirement. The Big 3 might accept 113 theoretically, but they accepted far less of my Sophia credit than UC. Excelsior and TESU accepted seventy something credits out of 95 Sophia + CSM. COSC only accepted forty something.
My brother applied to the Big 3 contemporaneously with me. He had one courses different than I and was applying for the same degree. His transcript evaluation differed significantly from mine but was still rife with inaccuracies. I was able to successfully appeal transcript evaluation errors at other schools but not at TESU or Excelsior. Since COSC was so far beneath other schools, I did not bother with correcting their errors.
