I'm getting the "page can't load" stuff. Couple moments later it loads. Weird.

Slow for me as well today, but to be honestly for some reason everything seems a bit slow where I am today. We'll have to do a Monday roll call and see if it is better tomorrow (fingers crossed).
UPDATE: 4+ hours later, this is the only site with issues loading. And it is quite awful (30-60 or more seconds per page load). Notified the webmaster that is issue with loading speed remains an ongoing problem.

Something is definitely breaking. I pasted in a plain URL with no HTML, as I've often done before, and it's showing code. Maybe it'll do it again.

Hm, nope, it's fine here. But not in the other thread.

I know a little about LiquidWeb. They're a large provider with multiple bandwidth providers, so this is definitely a problem with LiquidWeb, not Comcast or ATT or anybody else.
It's hard to know what's going on. When I did a little digging, the particular server I'm hitting is host3.degreeforum.net, implying that there is more than one server serving degreeforum. If that's the case, it's very possible something is screwy with the database server or the database itself.
Additionally, the ping time is unusually long when I checked it.
Just rebooting the server is highly unlikely to solve an issue like this; someone should be looking at server logs and figuring out what's going on. There are a bunch of things it could be, including a DOS attack on one or more of the servers, but if this is going on for days, that's pretty bad that there isn't anyone paying serious attention to this.

I was wondering this morning if it might be a DDOS attack. The sporadic nature of the slowness would seem to point in that direction. I wonder if we angered a spammer with a botnet by deleting their scam posts.
Hopefully, it's something easier to resolve. Like a failing drive or something in the physical server.

Server issues is one thing for the web host LiquidWeb, but it's more the ISP (Comcast) who the webhost uses may also have issues...

When I do a traceroute, I get issues at the last Level3.net hop before LiquidWeb, which seems to be CenturyLink/Lumen and NOT Comcast/Xfinity.
If LiquidWeb is having issues with both Lumen and Xfinity, that implies an issue with LiquidWeb somewhere and not with its ISPs.
