Not quiet as simple as that. The cost for one for the 1 year top up is around £8500+ (UK) or £12k+ (international). The HND (level 5) itself can be £6k+

Some courses want a foundation degree & not a HND or Diploma in HE.

Thanks for the info, you're looking at a specific degree path and I am looking at the same differently.  Here's a couple of examples. Instead of going for the BSc (Hons) Computing & IT directly from LSIB for £8700/7700 over 18/24 months, I would only take the required two diplomas from them and ladder to my own BSc for cheaper, easier, faster.  

I don't believe it, the package deal they give you is MORE expensive than if you just take the Level 4/5 and pay the Top Up yourself! Their Level 4/5 is cheap at £1500, but I would pay a bit more to the get Level 6, as the level 6 alone is already £950

For the price of your 'top up', I get the level 4/5/6 added with no extra charges, it all depends on what the student needs/wants and has for a budget.  Everyone has their own preferences, if it matches their goals and is what they look for, decide then.

In any case, it was to see if the OP wanted to try another UK option or not, they can always stick with UMPI/PUG even though UMPI isn't really IT, it's more Project Management.  As again, it really depends on the student needs/wants.  Having another view at things before deciding will open up different doors.

Price for the money in my opinion is UMPI. You will get a degree that price-wise is the more near your line. If you go to UMPI and want to use the degree in Europe I will not go for a liberal arts degree. In the US they are pretty common and less known in Europe. You can find that people do not understand it well, specially if the concentration is not printed in the diploma itself.
About "convalidaciones" (SPA), "annerkenung" (DE) and others ways of saying recognition of the degree in Europe you will find that you have to make the process in each European country. Each European country works different and needs different time to have the official recognition. Germany will need 3 month and will give you a paper saying what the degree is about and what you can do with it in broad terms. Spain (where you are now) will in theory 3 month, but reality 1 to 2 years(as far as I know), to get the paper that make the recognition of a university title at the level of "Grado". Probably they will have problems to place it, since the system is to compare it with the studies offered in a Spanish university. If you want an accreditation as an informatics degree they will pick up an "Ingenieria informatica" and will find that you degree does not match. If you want to compare it to a business degree with a specialty in IT is more easy to get a match. Anyway the level of having a Bachelor they should give it to you, but maybe the comparison is very wide like a full field of studies. It should open the doors to a master if that is what you are looking later on. Each European country has their own rules and regulations. That you have recognition in a country does not mean that the one besides recognize it in the same exact way. The only way to get full automatic recognition is to make the studies in a European country (bologna Process). It is a mess if you move a lot. The good part is that private employers should accept the degree without problem in most countries and only need to get an official recognition in public workplaces or academic settings in my experience.

I'd go for umpi over an unknown UK company. The credits don't work out, 120 for stage 1 (level 5) then stage 2 (level 6) 120 credits, wheres the 120 credit level 4? I'm clearly missing something lol UK degrees are 360 credits. Great to get a degree in 24 months or under.

Yup, it's a total of 240 credits if you go from a 1 & 1 system.  Generally, for stage 1, it's just a Level 4/5 combo and then stage 2 is with the university partner.  However, I like to get 'extra' learning and make sure I know my stuff, I suggest to add a level 6 as well before top up to BSc (Hons).

I think a business degree from UMPI is your best bet - everyone knows what that is, there's no guesswork. And Project Management as a concentration - again, commonly known and understood. A bunch of Sophia credits is offset by 30 graded credits which is good.

Non-US based people cannot get any sort of financial aid here.

But I have one question left - does Bachelor of Arts actually a valued degree? I can see a lot of trash talk about it in internet with messages like "BS is way better then BA" and so on..

BA is fine. At most schools, the difference between BA and BS is almost entirely in the gen eds. Does taking extra chemistry or physics classes make one a better computer programmer? Or better able to balance a spreadsheet? I don't think so. If you go with UMPI and get a BABA, it's a Business degree. End of story. Nobody will care whether it's a BSBA or a BABA.
