Tomm is the day I face the new Substance Abuse DSST Exam, and from what I can tell, I will be the first to face this one. This will be my 6th CLEP/DSST in 5 weeks, so I' have a little study fatigue, never the less I absolutly can't wait to face this one tomm and with GOD's help, since I will need it I will pass. I wil provide feedback after the exam.
Pass or fail I have been very happy with the effort I have put into my studies these past few weeks and will be attempting Criminal Justice and maybe Principles of Supervision next week, pass or fail it's full speed ahead for me.

How did you do? I failed it by 4 points yesterday. I wasn't prepared to take the new exam as I did not expect it. Last month when I checked, the old version was still available. As far as exams go, it was easy to take, and a very quick exam. I suppose I just didn't know enoough of the exam material to meet the new requirements.

I'm sorry to hear that your attempt did not go as expected and by 4 points..ouch! I prepared for this with about a week study using instantcert and got real nervous when I found out the old version was discontinued on 08/31/2008.
I did resigned myself to the fact that I may have failed. However, to my amazement to passed with an 428/400 and I have no idea what the score means, but I passed and thats all that matters. I finished with about 40 mins to spare, so I decided to review and corrected 2 questions.
I will now prepare for another two next thursday....
The test was straight forward and had a few quesions on cocaine, opoids, My recommendation would be to know the classifications, drug schedule, which I printed out and read at almost every traffic signal on my way to the test.

Thanks for the post. I am taking it Monday and was hoping for the old test. Maybe I will get lucky. Does anyone know what the passing scores are for the new tests at EC?

I was told by someone at prometric that the only way to take the older versions now are if your testing center still has copies of the paper exams. Unfortunately, the old computer versions are supposed to be completely gone now.
DSST adopted a scoring system similar to CLEP in that all the new tests have the same passing score of 400.
Passed CLEPs
Introductory Sociology, Information Systems and Computer Applications, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Introductory Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Introductory Business Law

Passed DSSTs
Management Information Systems, Introduction to Computing, Principles of Supervision, Human Resource Management, Introduction to Business, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Finance, Foundations of Education, Fundamentals of Counseling, Business Law II, Environment and Humanity

Passed ECEs
Ethics: Theory & Practice, Human Resource Management

Did you happen to take any Peterson's tests? If so, are they comparable? Was IC enough?
Thanks,
Doug

I took one practice test on peterson, which I thought reflected a minute percentage of how te test read. Having said though, it was never the less still helpful. I think a few of the actual questions from the peterson test was on the actual exam.
