Best place to take a class to satisfy the lab requirement?

Sophia is an excellent option (Chemistry + Lab), and Study.com comes second (Biology + Lab). Both use Labster for their virtual labs.

You'll have to take Intro to Chem + the Lab course to have it qualify at UMPI.

UMPI requires that you have 2 science courses - 1 a biological science and the other a physical science - and that one of them has a lab component.  I've heard that you have to take the science with the lab at the same place (so no taking Bio 101 at a community college and then later taken Bio lab only through Straighterline for example).

o wow; when did sophia chemistry with the labster lab come available as UMPI option?  i just started Bio101w/L at SDC recently, and its a real slog.  i started the subscription early since I was cranking through fall 2 session, but then I hit the wall of strategic bus. comm and so put the biology studying aside....so am into a 2nd month at SDC at the $139 coupon rate.  i might just switch back to sophia though for chemistry......as the BIO  @ SDC is just kicking my butt

Intro Chemistry with Lab is new, so this is early for most that are transferring them in; however, since Sophia uses Labster (same as SDC), it would be doubtful for Intro to Chem + Intro to Chem Lab not to meet the requirement.

thank you.
i logged into sophia and did a couple sections/quizes using the trial version.  yikes, reminded me too much of all the other math and statistics and algebra from my time with sophia a year ago.  am going to stick with bio 101 w/l on SDC for now as the content is more understandable to me than the chemistry.

I have not taken Chemistry; however, I have heard some share the topic can feel more weighty compared to Biology. I tend to lean on cost as a crucial factor for my courses. For example, I did several Coursera certifications that were much harder than taking their equivalents through UMPI because if completed during the trial period, that would be free. That challenge or opportunity triggers me always to choose the cheaper option.

Study.com Biology is a cool course; the Lab for me was a lot of fun.

nice - cool and fun.....that's the sweet spot of education when it's a required course.
