2nd grader expelled...
#1
In Florida, of all places, a grade two student was expelled... for one of the weirdest reasons... Read the article to find out what it was! Or see the link title... Haha, it's not what you're thinking!

What's the weirdest thing that happened to you when you went to school? I don't remember much about me, the kids, well...  Link: 2nd grader kicked out of Christian school after parents refused to photograph her in the bathtub (msn.com)

Why on earth would a school send home an assignment requiring photos in a bathtub? Clothed or not that is really bizarre. I can see many parents objecting to this.

It's odd - but it doesn't say they have to be naked in a bathtub, so they could have been fully clothed.

Here's a good one though - we have lived in homes where we didn't have a bathtub! Small master bath with shower only, and the other bathroom had been converted from a tub to shower stall. Twice. So I can't figure out what they would have done in that instance?

Even clothed children in bathtubs is a thing in the pedo world so this is really bizarre! I just rented a cabin on vacation that had no tub. Shower only. I've had apartments with a shower only. This was a really odd assignment and it required parents to help. Very strange. Really odd that the child was expelled over this too. None of these seems like something Jesus would do. It's a Christian school and acting in a very bizarre manner.

Official Statement as of September 30, 2022

"...all parents in the class in which this assignment was given received the following correspondence." “For
homework tonight the paper says to send a picture of them reading their homework in the bathtub. It was
brought to my attention that that can be interpreted wrong so let me explain. They are supposed to be in
their pj’s, play clothes, or uniform while reading their homework in the empty bathtub. It’s just supposed to
be a fun thing for them to do.”

It's not a fun thing to do if it's mandatory to avoid expulsion. It's fine if some people found it fun, but understandably some people found it inappropriate, regardless of its intent.

I think it's inappropriate and clearly there were badly worded instructions.  I'd be interested in knowing the ultimate destination(s) for the photos. Also, I'd be interested in seeing the school policy that requires student expulsion for non-completion of a single homework assignment. The whole thing fails the sniff test.

I can think of nothing other than the teacher being a pervert. This is just plain weird. Vote in school board elections to keep the perverts from taking over.
