What is the best / affordable cloud service that you use? Are there any offers for students?

Personally, I use Dropbox. I've been using it for years.
Both Dropbox and OneDrive have some amount of free storage. So does Google Drive, for that matter.

I trust Google.
I have one I definitely don't trust so feel free to reach out to me if you want the name of that one too. They lost a ton of my important files and I am still pretty steamed since I bought two terabytes of space.

Microsoft and Apple are affordable. Microsoft's 365 is free, depending on your university. You can check your eligibility here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/educatio...cts/office If you're looking at more than just storage then Alibaba Cloud gives students access to their basic server (1GB RAM & 40GB space) for free for 1 whole year. https://www.alibabacloud.com/campaign/education

I user iCloud as I'm a Mac/Apple user. I get a terabyte for $9.99 a month. I can access it from my phones, iPads, MacBook, MacMini, and my tv.

There really isn't a "best" option, I use a mix of options depending on what I use to store in those virtual drives...
Yahoo - Yes, I use this to sign up for things, all the spam email comes into this box... Dropbox - Basic storage of sharable files where I don't need a USB Onedrive.com/Outlook.com - Where I store all my Excel, Word files, etc. Google Drive - Storage of my photos from the camera

Depends on a lot of things, but I use google drive and my wife now uses OneDrive because she pays for MS Office for her business (I use open office). At some point I'm probably going to switch over to the family version of MS Office so we will all have it and use the OneDrive it comes with. Google is pretty solid as a free option, but MS gives you really a boatload of storage, so it is probably worthwhile.
