Saylor Direct Credit Exam Windows Closed as of 4/30?
#1
I can't take any of the Saylor proctored exams for Direct Credit (BUS203 and BUS208 as an example) as the scheduling closed on 4/30/2022 when going into the Saylor Direct Credit part of the site. I saw some older posts on this forum saying those would be renewed, but wasn't necessarily about this time.

Anyone have any info? I didn't see any posts on this subject. Thank you. Was hoping to take a few ahead of my July 1st WGU entry date, as I've already passed Business Statistics there.

Saylor usually renews, but renewal can take a loooong time. It could be another month or two before we find out what's getting renewed.

Ouch, if you're really wanting to start WGU and can't transfer these two in using Saylor, you can probably find the courses on Study.com, it's a stretch though, you might want to "use" the knowledge you have from the Saylor course and just blast through it when you're on that WGU term. I wouldn't wait for Saylor to renew, it'll take them a longer than expected time, they may extended it, who knows...

Got it. Thanks all. I'll probably just do the equivalents at Study.com. I didn't start the courses at Saylor so no time lost.

I received an email saying the courses were extended:

Hello,

This course has been extended till 5/31/2022

If you are ready to take the Direct Credit Exam, see link for Credit Exam: https://learn.saylor.org/mod/lti/view.php?id=37704

However, clicking on that link (or my dashboard link) says the course is still closed for Direct Credit. I'll check back in a day.

On the ACE site it has this course expiring 4/30/2025.

Everything that was due to expire on 4/30/22 received a full three year renewal, good until 4/30/25. That's really good news. It'll likely take Saylor some time to update their website, but at least we know these courses will still be around.

I am new to this, but how did you verify, that everything that expired, "on 4/30/22 received a full three year renewal"?

Edit: https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...65f38bf0e1 All is well, I understand.

Response from them:

My apologies for the inconvenience.

Saylor Direct Credit courses whose recommendations ended 04-30-2022 are currently unavailable to take for credit (you will not be able to schedule or access the credit exams). The credit exams for these courses will become available again in the coming weeks.

Please email records@saylor.org with any questions.

Kind Regards,

Gustavo
