AA after BS

BOG waiver in CA makes that class free right now. If it were full price it’d be like $150.

I’ve been thinking about looking into something through UMPI. Wondering what if I’d be able to get into their MAOL degree after EC? Or something like that.

I’m not sure I know what a reverse transfer is, but I did get them to accept classes I took at EC, after I transferred to EC, to fill in a few free elective units I needed.

Basically, I would stay the current route on your educational journey... AA at community college, Bachelors at Excelsior and then a Masters at UMPI. Take the class since it's inexpensive at the CC and graduate there at the same time as Excelsior Bachelors, you don't have to "wait" for graduation at Excelsior as I recall, it's not every term, but every month!

That’s what I’m hoping for. Going to make some calls tomorrow.

Question: how do they do monthly graduations if they require full semester capstones to be taken last?

Yeah... The capstone should be the last course, however, not always possible for people to take that as the final course as they may have missed or skipped a course by mistake.  Advisors/registrar makes sure the degree requirements are met and can in many cases graduate the student the following month. Excelsior is one of a few schools that confers monthly, graduation is automatic pretty much as long as the grad fee and/or outstanding fees are paid for.  Link: https://www.excelsior.edu/article/i-want...al-process

That's an incorrect statement. It hugely depends on the policies of target college - some do allow to earn associates after bachelors, some don't.

Figured I’d wrap back and update.

Spoke to three people at the CC today; two in admissions and one in the VA counseling. All three said I should have no problem. There is one left that I plan to email, the person who they told me to email about graduation info, so I can hopefully have something in writing.

Never heard of anyone going back to school to become a nurse after getting a bachelor's degree?  It used to be pretty common, before the BSN was a thing.

Nope.  I don’t know any nurses…. And I know absolutely nothing about nursing degrees.

I know someone with a physical therapy BS who went back and did an AS program to become a nurse after she figured out the hard way she hated everything about physical therapy. I have another friend that got a BA in History (haha) and figured out it was useless, went back and got an AS in ASL interpreting and got a faculty job in academia that way.
