BAin4weeks 2022?

Gender studies is one of the hardest degrees to complete, actually. There aren't many gender studies programs online or anywhere, and there are almost no credit-by-exam or ACE/NCCRS options in that subject. Art is also not an easy subject to test out of; most people transfer college courses from other schools or use PLAs to complete art degrees.

Empire State College still awards credits for GRE subject tests, but you have to score very high to receive a lot of credits, and 31 credits must be completed at ESC to be awarded a bachelor's degree.

What current credits do you have? Lots of folks here are great at evaluating your situation and helping you come up with an alt-credit path forward.

Also, could it be done in two to three months? I have that time on hand this summer.

Depends on your budget. But probably yes (for the most part).

Month 1: Sign up for the TESU cornerstone. Complete this while slamming hard on the exams. Concentrate on UL credit first and foremost. TESU requires 18 UL credits, 3 coming from the capstone. You're going to want at least 12 UL credits (4 exams) complete and sent to TESU ASAP. You'll also need at least 100 credits at TESU by the end of the month.

Month 2: Assuming you've got at least 12 UL credits and about 90 LL credits at TESU, now it's time to concentrate on the RA credit. TESU requires at least 30 credits of RA. There are 3 TECEPs for the Psych degree, and 3 UExcels you can take. This is 18 credits of RA, plus the capstone/cornerstone for a total of 24. That leaves you with 6 more RA credits needed. Some suggestions include:
  • Self-paced Algebra and/or Pre-Algebra from ASU. https://ea.asu.edu/courses/ If you are good with math, each course can be completed in 2-3 days if you really slam it.
  • American Government from ONU. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ol...University
  • Both College Writing courses at ONU, unless you already have English Comp. ONU is the fastest and easiest way to get English Comp credit, outside of taking the CLEP exam.
  • Finite Math from ONU
As soon as your TESU account says that you have 100+ credits AND at least 12 of them are UL, register for the Capstone course.
Month 3: Finish up any remaining credits and spend the month writing your Capstone paper. You're supposed to take 12 weeks on your capstone paper, but some students have put it off and completed it in 3-4 weeks at the end of their course. So, it's doable.

This will not be easy nor cheap. You will have to pay the residency waiver (because you're going for speed and only taking 6 residency credits from TESU instead of 16+). As a rough estimate, I would guess that this would cost you $8-9k. If you have the budget for this and you're doing it just for funsies as a challenge, go ahead. But this is not really a recommended path. Other students should probably steer clear!

I would recommend that you start studying, even a little, immediately. Even BAin4Weeks spent 3-4 months studying before heading off to exams, IIRC. You should also start considering the topic of your capstone paper. Check https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/TESU_Capstone for more information on the capstone and what it entails.

This right here! People seem to forget that there has to be some studying for the exams.

WGU is a "test out" degree. Check out this page for transfer articulations from the popular alt credit providers like sophia, straghterline and SDC. While not listed on WGU's transfer partners page, they do accept CLEPs and DSSSTs which are some of the "testout" methods used by BAin4weeks. The classes at WGU typically require either a single test or some kind of project(generally a paper or 2).

No. While it's entirely online, it is a traditional term-based setup, with set deadlines and schedule-windows.

A master's degree can be done in very little time, if you already have the knowledge:

If you transfer the maximum credits, then a bachelor's degree can be done in a similar amount of time. WGU is the ultimate competency-based degree, so if you're ready to pass the tests and write the papers, it is very fast. However, most people are not ready, so they take years to complete everything, similar to a typical university.

WGU doesn't accept transfer credits for their master's degrees.

So it sounds like you really just want to do some crazy challenge for personal entertainment and it’s not really about the “degree”.

If that’s the case, you could try an ENEB degree (If you already have a bachelor’s degree). It’s not exactly “test out” because the multiple choice tests don’t count. But you could “essay-out” and that’s only a few hundred bucks. It’d be cheap by comparison and if the accreditation doesn’t matter - there ya go.

You could challenge yourself for free on Saylor Academy. You can click through the videos and try to earn certificates for free (some have optional ACE credit). You might not get a degree, but you can collect a bunch of online certificates and see how many you can pass in 4 weeks.

Might not exactly be a BA, but it could satisfy your fun personal challenge for entertaining yourself.

I get tickled when someone mentions a simple / easy degree such as art, music, social sciences ect. Have you taken an upper level music or art course ? Those majors may be easy for some and more difficult than math or science for others. With that kind of mentality I doubt a degree in a year is in the cards for you.
