Lab and Spanish

Are science lab and Spanish (3rd language) mandatory for the BLS or BABA?

A lab science and a foreign language are required for ALL degrees at UMPI.

If he speaks an Indian language, he may be able to take an ACTFL exam for that.

If he has a foreign degree, he will need to have an evaluation completed through WES for his UMPI application. If he's already completed a course in a language other than English then it may transfer depending on the WES evaluation.

If your friend knows a language, they can get testing either by ACTFL/AP/CLEP for the max credits transferable or by transferring in a language course they have taken from a previous institution. For international students, these would need to go through an evaluation if they're transferring it in... otherwise, do the ACTFL if they haven't already.

In regards to the lab science, take the easiest route out, Study.com Biology or Chemistry with Lab...

I am from India too, and I am taking ACTFL OPI in my mother tongue Telugu on 18th this month. Your friend can try in his own language. Also, I confirmed with admissions that you can send evaluations by any NACES member, some are faster and easier than WES.

https://www.languagetesting.com/certific...nformation In the dropdown, you can type Tamil. Tamil has a single exam: the OPI for $165. It's not as cheap as InstantCert Spanish, but it's certainly easier if you already speak Tamil!
