U of Maine out of state tuition is ridiculous. It's rare to get a scholarship for grad school there especially for out of state students. They tried to get me to enroll, but I passed. WGU is MUCH cheaper and faster.

I remember seeing some type of alumni discount, but I'll have to check with the school.  To be honest, I really like the whole Maine public college system. UMPI is a step forward.

Yeah. Maine as a whole has been doing an amazing job on it's university system. Graduations are up, programs are up, and more. The out of state prices are ridiculous! There's one more program in the University of Maine system I'm interested in, I'm gonna email them to try and see if I can get an in-state rate.

We're talking about University of Maine's online graduate programs, right? For the business degrees, there's not much of a difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition. For the other online graduate programs, everyone gets charged the same rate.

When they were trying to recruit me last year, it was over $28,000 to complete the MBA. It will cost me less than $5K at WGU. WGU is also CBE. U of M is NOT CBE. It's VERY different from UMPI's YourPace program.

I understand. The side conversation got triggered by Stoic expressing interest in the flagship's programs. They're not the cheapest, but they're not among the most expensive. If I were to go for a flagship degree, I'd go big.

University of Florida charges similar rates to University of Maine; my degree was about $16,000. University of Florida is in a different league.

That's an awesome price point. UF is considered a prestigious school around the world. I looked into their Masters in Communication (Web Development) program before because some of the teachers from Frontend Masters helped designed it, but I'm holding off on it. But to me that school is on the level of Northeastern, Boston University,  etc. If I was going to pay up to $20,000 for a Masters–I would go there.
