If one is enrolled at a community college (cheaper tuition, taking advantage of getting more financial aid money back to use for CLEP and DSSTs)
will enrolling in TESC mess that up?
Can you only be enrolled, degree-seeking at 1 US College at a time?
Just to clear one point up, I am not trying to get financial aid at both. I just am confused if you enroll at one institution, does it dis-enroll you from the previous?

I did this exact thing. I took classes here locally at the same time as at TESC. The only thing you CANT do is get 2 of the same degrees from 2 schools at the same time.

Good. I think.
Because at one point I was told you can only be "degree-seeking" at one institution, and will have to be a "transient" student at the other.
I want to stay degree-seeking/enrolled at my CC for the financial aid benefits, but I want to go ahead and enroll at TESC to see how much credit they give me for everything I have, and how close I am to finishing my degree.
I am almost positive I will be conferring my Bachelors at TESC, but financially it is a lot more beneficial to be enrolled at the CC this semester.

I am doing the same thing myself. I am taking 3 classes this summer at my local CC because of the cost and I am going to be attending TESC. I will proably take classes this fall there also just to keep the cost down. I am working on my BA in Humanities.

I was originally going to use financial aid at TESC, but if you use financial aid to pay the enrollment fee, you have to keep going for about 3 or 4 semesters to get financial aid to pay for it all. I don't really want to wait that long, I would rather finish up the bachelors without having to wait a year taking classes.
It seems to me if you wisely manage your financial aid money you get while attending a community college, you could use that to pay most of the costs associated with going to TESC or EC.

I agree and thats pretty much how I am going to handle mine. Who wants to wait a year as you said and take all those classes. I have about 6 to 7 tests and a math and I'm done.
