So I can literally get an F and on these exams and still get credit for them? Every other third credit course provider I've seen elsewhere seems to require a minimum of 70% overall grade including all coursework. I wonder if WGU will accept CLEP credits even if I barely pass with a 50 on these exams.

It's not a percentage score. It's a scaled score.  CLEP min score is 20, and max score is 80.

No you are not getting an F on the clep and still get credit when you score a 50.  Even saying 70% of 80 is not quite the right way to compare it. Different scale. getting a 50 on CLEPs usually is similar to having a grade of C in a course.
TESU: BALS June 2021 (comm college, clep, sdc sophia coopersmith, SOS110, and capstone)

Keep in mind that not every CLEP exam will apply to every WGU degree. CLEP is mostly gen ed credit and WGU degrees don't have many gen eds.

Thank you.  That's a great point. Since it looks like WGU hasn't provided CLEP with any info regarding what transfers over and what doesn't, I'll make sure to reach out to them. If they end up accepting a 50 score from CLEP for Calculus that would be awesome!

"When applicable, competency units are awarded for successful completion of CLEP exams toward the completion of general education requirements. For credit to be accepted for transfer, the student must meet or exceed the minimum American Council on Education (ACE) recommended score on the examination. WGU has accepted CLEP and DSST exams for years - as many years as I've been on here, so at least 10.

They used to have a breakdown of what they accepted, but for whatever reason removed that info a long time ago.

Awesome. Thank you. If CLEP is easier + more affordable than some of the other credit provider sources, I'd love to take Calculus via clep.

Yes, and at least in my area, that is about what you would pay for an administrative fee at all the physical test centers I have been able to find, so it seems like a fair price to pay to get to do it in your own controlled setting.

This is good news for people living far away from a CLEP center, does anyone know if the online CLEP exams can be taken from outside the U.S.? This may sound a excessive, but can international students enjoy the free CLEP vouchers from Modern States too?
