COSC and TESU is on the ball, they have to follow what state and accreditation agencies require, in due time, I think Excelsior is going to have to institute something similar. All in all, for those who are close to getting it done, do the Upper Level requirements right away and transfer them all in. You can take the SOS-110 course in March at the latest and get your ACE/NCCRS transferred to them before you start or during the course as March 31 is the last day to have them fully transferred in.

If my term ends on dec 27 and I already applied for graduation this should not effect me correct?

Okay kinda worried. My term ends on the 27th but there was a free term extension till the 3rd of January but I didn't accept it I do not think. I already submitted my capstone and applied for graduation as well as paid off the tuition and graduation fees. The changes to the credit policy should not effect me right?

If all your transcripts are already into TESU, and they've added them to your evaluation, and you're graduating, you're fine.

Oh okay thank God. Yes all my transcripts are in I am just waiting for my capstone to finish. They are all on my evaluation and my evaluation hasn't change. Also I haven't seen this email that everyone else has talk about. Maybe they didn't send it to me because I am about to graduate.

you're good. Same here. My capstone ends in Jan, already applied for March Grad, fully paid everything.

We are coming in under the wire.

My feeling is that this is going to end poorly for COSC and TESU, schools like UMPI that take up to 90 and offer competency-based programs are going to be the "go to" for doing what so many of us that come here are doing.

Bring 90 CH from Sophia/SDC into a UMPI credit and it is quite possible to finish up a degree there in two of their terms and less money than the residency waiver alone at TESU is.

Posts on this site from quite a while ago mentioned that the 'gravy train' would dry up as these methods became more well known.  BJC is correct and accreditation requirements will force a stricter approach.  The good news is that makes your degree more valuable regardless of how/when you earned it.  It doesn't seem 'fair' to pull the ladder up behind you but that method is how the credentials maintain value.  It is utterly useless if everybody has one.

Public accounting has gone from no degree, to a 4 year degree, to a master's degree and now to a master's plus credit hours (it is quite close to PhD at this point).  CPA salaries are tracking with inflation while many other salaries are not.  Correlation is not causation but labor markets follow supply and demand.

The short notice is unfortunate and will catch many off guard.  As I have mentioned more than once, the trend is not easier and cheaper.  It is harder and more expensive.  I know it is exhausting (I just did 47 credit hours in 7 months).  I know you have other responsibilities and you aren't made out of money.  But this should be a wake up call to procrastinators.  Don't quit (or take breaks) and finish as fast as you can.

by the way, for random reading....
In the FAQ it does say "If your record already has more than 45/90 credits from any single [non collegiate] source, we will allow that to remain on your record as long as you maintain enrollment." I'm pretty sure that also includes those who graduate in March 2021 because of when terms begin/end and new policy takes effect.
