ALEKS is expiring.

All the math courses are going expiring, my question is if i take PreCalculus and College Algebra can be transferred to TESU.

Take college algebra from Sophia. You have about 24 hours to sign up. Otherwise, you can transfer a course to TESU after it expires so long as you complete it before the expiration date. For instance, let's say you take a course that expires on August 8th, 2020. You finish the course on August 2nd, 2020. TESU will still accept the course on August 15th, 2020 and put it on your transcript because you finished it before it expired.

That said, there's a good chance that the ALEKs courses will renew. Anyone email them about this?

Hello everyone! Thank you for letting me know about Aleks. I took College Algebra with Sophia. I am considering UMPI which requires two math courses and I went and got another one this time PreCalc



ACE passed ! that was the most exhausting 3 hour test I've ever done in my life and I have to do biopsy tests on my heart and I'd rather that over this again LOL

Huh, I thought ALEKS was expired. If you log in and search the ACE transcript that way, it shows as having expired.

Is ALEKS integrated with the new Acclaim interface or do you (still) have to add credits the old fashioned way?

The calculus is good until December 2020 so I wanted to take advantage of it now before I send transcripts out this month.

ALEKS' courses are all good until 12/31/2020, which makes me think they are in the process of renewing.

So how does ALEKS work anyway? Do they do the webcam thing (like RPNow) and, if so, what are you allowed to have? Pencils/paper/calculator? The ALEKS site isn't especially forthcoming about the process.

I believe they just use a locked down browser window & an honor code. Once you hit 70% complete in a course, you can take an "ACE Credit" exam, pass the exam & you're good.

Locked down browser that is timed for 3 hours and you can't do anything except for the calculus. You can use the inside calculator or your own. You're allowed to use / reference your notes if they are handwritten.
