Has anyone else noticed the change to American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters  website?

Im also having trouble finding the Ethics 312 course now. The link in the wiki is dead.

I did a search and they have two new ethics courses that are free.

Ethical Decision Making in Risk and Insurance
https://web.theinstitutes.org/ethical-de...-insurance

And

Ethical Guidelines for CPCUs
https://web.theinstitutes.org/ethical-guidelines-cpcus

I did not find any applicable new courses on the ACE site that would correspond to them.

Anybody got any extra insight on this?

I did not find it either. You should ask them. It might be gone.

As far as I know, Ethical Guidelines for CPCUs is Ethics 312.  That's what I put in my shopping cart on January 30, and it's listed on my ACE profile (as well as my EC transcript) as "Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct".

I'm not familiar with "Ethical Decision Making in Risk and Insurance".  Even if they pursue/are pursuing ACE certification for this course, a quick review of the description makes me wonder if the Big Three would grant any credit for it on top of Ethics 312.  It might be helpful for insurance professionals, but it looks like a lot of duplication.

FWIW, I've emailed both The Institutes and ACE, I'll update with any response I get.

I took the Guidelines for CPCUs version a few weeks ago, passed the exam & tried to add it to my ACE account, they denied me three times saying I had the completion date wrong (I tried the date I completed it according to Institutes' LMS, and a couple others just to try to figure it out). I honestly just gave up with it.

I believe Ethical Decision Making is just for CE/certification purposes.

I know that "Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct" has three separate listings on ACE, and I don't know if it matters which one you select.  I didn't have any trouble getting the credit, but if I did, I'd email ACE and get it straightened out. There might be a glitch, but it does seem to be approved through April 2022.

Ethics 312 and I see it listed once only on ACE and it is valid until 2022. Almost everyone who has trouble with credit takes the wrong course in which failure to consider the right course number is a personal problem. The solution to most people's problem is take the right course next time. Aside from that, there could always be glitches.

I didn't have any trouble getting credit, but your assessment of folks that do seems a little harsh.

The issue of selecting the $5 option for CEU credit rather than the free option for college credit is such a common mistake that it's detailed in the free credit wiki: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Fr..._of_Credit

Incidentally, the course does, in fact, show up with three entries for me.  See screencap, attached.

You have three results because there are three (sub) entries, as there are three date ranges. Nothing changed there. It's just a search feature.

I too had no trouble getting credit.

Harsh?  They had better get used to the fact that a lot of ACE providers teach credit and non-credit courses.

That's strange - I just checked it and it showed up once.  Checked again - same right now.

Search with ethics in description, not title.

Doesn't make a difference whatsoever.
