Typically newbie: Heres my transcript! What should I do?
#11
With TESU if the course doesn't transfer, you can file an appeal. They will likely want to see the course syllabus before making a final ruling.

You can do most of these courses online in 20 hours or less so I wouldn't get too fixated on a 1 course that doesn't transfer.

The capstone/cornerstone takes several months to complete so that would be the major thing to slow you down.

Ethics
American Government
Science/CompSci (4cr min)
Intro to Computers
Prin of Marketing
International Business
Business Comm

and the cornerstone/capstone.

All of the required courses are LL, and you could probably do them pretty fast.  I'd either do Study.com for the whole shebang, or do Davar for as much as possible with the "Business Class" deal, and the rest through Study.com or SL or whatever.  Someone who has speech.

If you opt for Study.com with or w/o and Davar, then all transcripts would go straight from the course provider to TESU, meaning no cost for a transcript and no need to set up an ACE account/transcript if you didn't want to.

Excelsior doesn't have the ACBSP accreditation, and the cost is similar to TESU, so I wouldn't bother.  COSC maybe if you were only looking at cost, but they do have the science w/lab plus another science requirement. (TESU & COSC require science but no lab, and TESU will allow CompSci instead).

Can you elaborate on why those classes you have listed would not be satisfied by some of my previous course work. It's not that I don't trust your analysis I'm just naive to this whole thing. Why wouldn't intro to computers be satisfied by CSC 118 which was a intro computer science class? Or International business be satisfied by ECON 443 which was a class that was entirely based on International trade.

Any info helps. Thanks!

I put courses where I thought they would stick them based on years of experience creating degree plans - I think I've done over 1,000 degree plans by now, the majority for TESU.

So CSC118: The Internet: Inform Ret & Org didn't look like Intro to Computer Science, which is why I didn't put it there.  If TESU will take it as such, great.  With the name of it though, they may not.  They can be picky.  Anything I've ever seen that's about the internet, they've put in Free Electives.

For Int'l Trade, it was UL so I stuck it in your AOS.  But if TESU will take it as meeting the Int'l Business requirement, then great.  Normally they want a "general" type course in the core, and this may be to "applied" to meet the requirement.  But if they'll take it, awesome, since you have enough UL credits, you can swap it out with another course.

Im going to call and talk to a advisor tomorrow so I can see exactly what’s going on. Do you have any tips for me? Thanks!

The capstone/cornerstone runs on a schedule so you have assignments every week that runs for months, unlike other online courses in which you could complete the whole course as fast as you want in less than a week if you put the time into it.

CLEP, Study.com and StraighterLine are good choices. Matter of what learning style you prefer since all are different.

For example, the next business capstone runs from January 6, 2020, to March 29,2020.

They are 12-week courses. If you take them both at the same time, you will only need to spend 12 weeks total on them, but obviously if you stagger them it will be longer.

My suggestion is to not expect the advisor to help you "see exactly what's going on". They won't be very helpful in evaluating your credits or telling you how fast you can do this. They won't help at all with alternative credits. That's why we call it a DIY degree...because you really do have to do it yourself. You would do best to just apply and get your transcripts in. It'll take them up to a month to do the evaluation, so work on all the courses that dfrecore listed above while you're waiting.

Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)

Do you suggest I started taking the tests in study.com? Or do you knocking the credits out elsewhere?

On straighterline it says that all of these courses are 3 credits. Does that mean I would come up short in terms of credits? Also, do you know if I wold be able to do the cornerstone and capstone simultaneously?

Just for clarification, in order to get a degree from TESU I will only have to do the cornerstone/capstone through them and they will accept all credits as long as they are transferrable?

So should I take all of the test then apply or apply then take all of the tests? If I apply and get accepted when do I enroll?

You need to apply to really know for sure what will transfer or not into the degree requirements.

Keep in mind things change so what applies today, may not apply tomorrow.  Also, degree requirements could change.

The insurance ethics course is free, you could take that now just to get your feet wet.  The course takes 3-10hrs.
