I know at least one person here has garnered credit for a MOS/MOUS cert. Has anyone successfully gotten credit for MOS 2003? (I have an email into Excelsior, but they weren't sure.)
Developments at my job are making me considerably MORE interested in certification than usual, so it's time. I don't want to spend the time and money on a cert that won't be eligible for credit, so I need to figure out which one to go for.
Anyone MOS 2003-ers out there?

I wish I could say that I'm an MOS 2003-er, but alas, I am not. I may look into going that route at some point. If you find out that EC will give credit for that type of cert....be sure to let us know.

EC replied definitively today - MOS 2003 is not currently credit-bearing, as it has not been evaluated by ACE.
Too bad -- Office XP is a fairly outdated edition, so I was hoping that a reasonably current certification would also be credit-bearing. Guess I'll just have to CLEP or FEMA those credits, instead!

Well...sorry to hear that. I'm in the same boat with my Series 7 stockbroker's license. While it's not 'current', I passed the exam less than 5 years ago, and it is not credit-bearing at this point. Bummer too, cuz that's a VERY DIFFICULT EXAM.
